How to recognise a rising star in roofing

Once again, the team at Sterland Roofing & Cladding have won important awards for excellence in metal roofing. The young company that has been trading for just 8 years, has to date already won 8 prestigious MRCAA awards for high quality roofing construction.

Their latest achievement came in October, 2015 with 2 new awards: the MRCAA ‘Specialist Works Award’ and – ‘Less than $300,000 contract works’.

Mathew Sterland, Founder and Director said:

“As specialists in copper and zinc, we were chosen to work on the ‘Pymble Project’. The challenge here was the restoration of a significant heritage home and we worked closely with the local Heritage Committee to restore the home to its original state. We used .7 VMZinc mill finish to create the curved dormas to fit into the slate roof. Copper was selected to create all the rainwater goods”.

The Award was sponsored and presented by Prestige Roofing & Cladding Supplies.

A winning history

In 2013, the group won 3 Metal Roofing & Cladding Association of Australia awards: ‘Specialists Works Project under $300,000’, ‘Single Residential Building - New Structure’ and ‘Wall Cladding’.

2014, and 3 more MRCAA wins: The winner of the ‘Use of Unique Metal in the installation of roofing/cladding – 2014’ award and the ‘Wall Cladding Award’. Then the big one – the ‘MRCCA Gold Medal’ – which is awarded to the entrant the judges consider exemplifies the highest consistent standard in their entries.
